Immortal Refugee

I just returned from a week long trip where I intentionally stayed off all touch screens, phone, social media and internet all together.
I wrote six poems while I was there, two short stories and worked on few chapters of my memories.

One of the poems I wrote after I visited the ancient sacred sites of the Mayan ruins (the pyramids). The title of that poem is ( apologies to the gods ).

My poem reflects how I felt seeing myself and countless waves of tourists walking the ancient sacred sites that stood for thousands of years. I can’t wait to share my completed poems with you and the world.
